Paros, the whitewashed Cycladic island with its characteristic, well –formed windmills, the incomparable blue of its sea, the traditional church domes, the wonderful beaches and the clean coast rises in the centre of Aegean Sea, where the east and west come together, where history and myth coexist.
The history of the Church ‘’Panayia Ekatontapiliani ‘’ begins from the 4 th century and is very closely linked with the history of the Byzantine Emperors : Constantine (280-337 m.Cr) and Justinian (527-565m.Ch). According to tradition Panayia Ekatontapiliani was built from St. Helena , mother of Great Connstantine. Another tradition says Ignatius , a disciple of themaster builder of St.Sofia , built this temple.
Accessible golden beaches embracing the perimeter of the island, which mingle the crystal blue waters of the sea with the clear sky colour. Our magnificent beaches are characterized by beautiful formations with cliffs carved from the sea and wind.
